Vehicle Insurance

Auto Insurance
Getting behind the wheel each day comes with a serious level of risk. Auto insurance protects you and others in your vehicle should you ever experience an accident. You will recognize many of the following coverage names from your declarations page but let’s get a succinct explanation of each so you feel better educated.
- Liability coverage: also known as Bodily Injury and Property Damage (BI/PD). This is the most important coverage because it’s the only coverage that can protect you from a lawsuit worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. It’s protection for any injuries sustained by someone else as well as damage to another person’s property if you’re responsible (liable) for the accident.
- Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage: This coverage pays for your injuries if the person responsible for the accident either doesn’t have insurance or doesn’t have enough insurance to cover your expenses.
- Medical Payments coverage: also known as First Party Benefits, helps pay for injuries of drivers or passengers regardless of fault. It can be considered a supplement to your medical insurance.
- Collision coverage: after you pay your deductible, the insurance company pays for any damage to your vehicle caused by an accident.
- Comprehensive coverage: pays for damage to your vehicle caused by wind, hail, theft, vandalism, and more. In other words, comprehensive coverage protects your vehicle from any damage not caused by a collision.
Let’s make sure you are properly protected.
